1. Service Overview

Hanjanhannal is an iOS and Android app for marking the days you drank on a calendar and looking them up. Your records are saved to the account you sign in with, so they stay when you reinstall the app or change devices and sign in the same way.

You can sign in with Kakao, Google, or Apple. Apple sign-in works only on iPhone. The conditions of use are in the Hanjanhannal Terms of Service.

2. Controller and Role

Latel (Business Registration No. 276-40-01354, CEO Inju Chung) is the controller of personal information in Hanjanhannal and decides the purposes and means of processing. Operation of the database and authentication service is entrusted to the processor in Section 7.

3. Information We Process

Latel processes only the items below. The values listed follow what Supabase Auth and the database actually store.

Sign-in information

Apple sign-in works only on iPhone. Records made with Apple cannot be opened on Android, so if you plan to switch between iPhone and Android, please sign in with Kakao or Google from the start.

Hanjanhannal does not request the email consent item from Kakao and does not request your name or email from Apple. If a sign-in provider adds further account details to its ID token (for example a Kakao nickname or an Apple private relay email), Supabase Auth may store them as part of the authentication account; Hanjanhannal does not display or otherwise use them. Right after a Kakao sign-in the app sends one user-information request to Kakao, and does not store or transmit the response.

• We treat drinking-day records as information that may relate to health and handle them with care. That is why the consent screen after your first sign-in asks separately for your consent to saving and using this record, together with the age-19 confirmation.
• Your sign-in session is kept in the app's storage on your device and is removed when you sign out, withdraw, or delete the app.
• Hanjanhannal does not request or collect your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, advertising identifier, or payment information.

4. Purposes of Processing

• Kakao, Google, and Apple sign-in, keeping you signed in, and sign-out
• Saving drinking-day records and showing them on the calendar, and providing the same records after you change devices or reinstall the app
• Proof of the age-19 confirmation and consent to saving and using records, and asking for consent again when the terms of consent change
• Account withdrawal and unlinking external sign-in services
• Security, preventing misuse, incident response, and answering inquiries
• Complying with law and with App Store and Google Play policies, and responding to store review

5. Consent and Refusal

You must confirm both "I am 19 or older" and "I agree to saving and using my drinking-day records" on the consent screen shown after your first sign-in before you can use the app, and no drinking-day record can be saved before you consent. If you do not want to consent, tap "Cancel sign-up" on the consent screen. This deletes the account you just created, as described at the end of this section.

These two items are required to provide the service, so if you refuse, you cannot use the app. You can withdraw your consent at any time through Settings > Withdraw membership. If the terms of consent change, we raise the consent version and ask for consent again the next time you open the app.

Items Processed Without Consent and the Legal Basis

The items below are processed at sign-in, before the consent screen, on a legal basis rather than on your consent. The items processed with your consent are the drinking-day records and the consent record (consent version and time).

• Sign-in information (Kakao member number; Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile photo URL; Apple user identifier; the email address and encrypted password of a store review account): needed to enter into and perform the agreement to use the app, through sign-in and account identification. Legal basis: Article 15(1)4 of the Personal Information Protection Act (conclusion and performance of a contract).
• Account record (sign-in method, account creation time, first sign-in time): needed to create and manage your service account. Legal basis: the same Article 15(1)4.
• Access records (sign-in time, creation and refresh times of the sign-in session, IP address, and device and app information): the same Article 15(1)4 for keeping you signed in, and Article 15(1)6 (Latel's legitimate interests) for security, preventing misuse, and incident response.

If you have never consented and tap "Cancel sign-up", the Hanjanhannal account you just created is deleted right away, with no confirmation step, the same way as a withdrawal (see 6. Retention and Destruction). We delete the account record, delete an authentication account newly created by signing in to Hanjanhannal together with its sign-in links and sign-in session records, and request unlinking from Kakao, revocation of the Apple token, and removal of Google app access. If you use the same sign-in account for another Latel service (for example Tonghari) and that service is using the authentication account, we keep the authentication account and delete only the Hanjanhannal records and the sign-in links that Hanjanhannal added. If the Apple token cannot be revoked, you can remove Hanjanhannal yourself in Settings > Apple Account > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.

If you have already consented before and see the consent screen again because the terms of consent changed, it shows "Leave" instead of "Cancel sign-up". "Leave" only signs you out, and the items above and your earlier drinking-day records stay on the server. To have them deleted, make a request by the methods on the Hanjanhannal account deletion request page.

6. Retention and Destruction

Latel destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of keeping it ends. When you withdraw, we handle it as follows.

Personal information in electronic files is deleted by a method that makes recovery difficult. We do not create paper documents. If information must be preserved under law, we keep it separately for that period and state so in this policy.

7. Third-Party Provision and Processing Entrustment

Latel does not provide personal information to third parties without your consent or a legal basis. We do not sell personal information or provide it for advertising or marketing.

To provide the service, we entrust processing to the following company.

Kakao, Google, and Apple are sign-in services that you choose yourself, and your device communicates with them directly. Only when you withdraw does Latel's server ask Kakao to unlink (sending your Kakao member number) and ask Apple to revoke the token. Each provider's own privacy policy applies to its processing.

Latel uses the services of overseas companies in connection with processing personal information, as follows.

9. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of the processing of your personal information, and you may withdraw your consent.

• In the app: Settings > Withdraw membership. When you confirm, your drinking-day records and account information are deleted immediately.
• By email: ceo@latel-co.com. When we receive a request for access, correction, suspension, or deletion, we verify your identity and then handle it without delay. The procedure and timing for deletion requests are explained on the Hanjanhannal account deletion request page.
• A legal guardian or an authorized agent may make a request on your behalf, in which case we may ask for documents confirming the authorization.

10. Security Measures

• Encrypted transmission (TLS) between the app and the servers
• Row-level access control in the database so that you can read and write only your own rows
• Server secret keys and the Kakao and Apple administration keys are not embedded in the app and are kept only as secrets of the server function
• Operator access limited to what service operation and incident response require
• Encrypted backup files kept in storage that only the operator can access
• Sign-in session information kept only in the app's storage on your device

11. Automatic Collection Devices

The Hanjanhannal app does not use automatic collection devices such as cookies or advertising identifiers, and includes no external tools that analyze usage or collect crash reports. The only thing saved automatically is the access record in Section 3, which Supabase Auth keeps when you sign in.

This page stores the language you choose (Korean or English) only in your browser and does not send it to a server.

12. Age Restriction (Under 19)

Hanjanhannal is for people aged 19 or older, and the consent screen asks you to confirm that you are 19 or older. If we learn that someone under 19 has used the app, we may delete that account's records and restrict use. We do not collect personal information of children under 14. If you know of such a case, please tell us using the contact details below.

13. Advertising and Tracking

Hanjanhannal has no advertising and includes no third-party advertising tools. We do not track you or link your activity to other apps or websites, and we do not use drinking-day records for advertising or marketing. Before adding advertising or tracking, we will first update this policy and the store declarations and, where the law requires, obtain separate consent.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when service features, applicable laws, store policies, or the processing structure change. Material changes will be announced in the app or on the website, and the effective date on this page will be updated. If items or purposes are added and consent must be obtained again, we will ask for consent again in the app.
